  • Proper field care is critical to the final result. As soon as possible:

    • Avoid cutting the brisket too high

    • Do not cut behind the shoulders

    • Keep the cape clean and dry

    • Cool the animal quickly

    • Bring it to us as soon as possible

    If you are unsure, contact us and we can walk you through the process.

  • As soon as possible is always best. The quicker the cape is properly cared for, the better the final result.

  • If you cannot bring your animal to us right away:

    • Keep it cool

    • Do not leave it in direct sunlight

    • Place it in a freezer if necessary

    • Avoid tightly wrapping the cape in plastic for long periods

    The sooner it arrives, the better the final result.

  • Yes. If necessary, properly frozen specimens are acceptable. Just be sure the cape is protected and stored carefully to prevent damage.

  • Yes. We accept legally harvested game taken within Texas, other states, and international locations. Proper documentation and tags are required at the time of drop-off.

  • Yes. We offer repair and restoration services for older or damaged mounts. Condition, age, and extent of damage will determine what can be improved.

  • We regularly assist clients who have worked with outfitters both locally and internationally. We can help coordinate the process once your trophy arrives back in the United States.
